AC Milan have been extensively linked with Juan Miranda and Lloyd Kelly ahead of the January mercato. However, both players’ parent clubs are unwilling to let them go before the summer, meaning the Rossoneri will have to wait until the summer to land the duo.

The January mercato will be one of opportunity for Milan, with their elimination from the Champions League affecting their market capabilities. As a result of entering the Europa League, some money can be spent, but it has to be the right opening for the club to act.

The club have been linked with signing Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth and Juan Miranda from Real Betis in the weeks leading up to the window opening. Nonetheless, the Diavolo will have to wait until the summer to bring either of them to the club, as reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews).

Given that both players’ contracts end in June 2024, a pre-contract can be negotiated with both players in January. In certain cases, clubs can pay to bring the move forward in January by paying a fee. However, this will not be the case in this scenario, with both clubs against an early move and Milan unwilling to pay a fee for a player they could get for free in six months.
