The WVU football staff knows Jakobe “Big Show” Green fits the bill as a big time recruit and a player they need to pursue. To that end, West Virginia made their interest in the four-star Florida lineman on Thursday.

Green (6-foot-4, 335 pounds) posted about his offer from the Mountaineers on X (Twitter), saying “Woww! Blessed to earn an offer from West Virginia University!!”

And even though Green is a 2026 prospect and will only be entering his junior year of high school in the fall, he already has offers from several major programs in addition to WVU. As far as Power Four programs, Maryland, Miami (FL) and Ole Miss have extended offers to Green. But Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Central Michigan, Florida A&M, Massachusetts, Memphis, Troy, UAB and even USF have also shown interest as well. Green even visited Florida State for their spring game on April 20.

Green, who holds a star rating from multiple national recruiting outlets, is viewed as either a defensive lineman or an interior offensive lineman in college. Rivals ranks Green as a for-star while On3 Sports only classifies him as a three-star.
